NeroGiardini: the new Shopify e-commerce by Drop.
There are projects that have something extra: a shared history.
In 2025, NeroGiardini celebrated 50 years of Made in Italy. In the same year, Drop reached its 25-year milestone. Two different paths, but with common roots: the Marche region. It is right here, in Monte San Pietrangeli, at the heart of the Fermo-Macerata footwear district, that the headquarters of a brand symbolizing Italian manufacturing beats. From this regional synergy, NeroGiardini's new Shopify e-commerce was born in March: a project where tradition is not erased by innovation, but rather empowered.
A tailored shopping experience
NeroGiardini’s DNA is built on continuity – a clean, understated, and instantly recognizable style – and versatility: shoes designed to be worn all day long, from the office to dinner. To translate this physical solidity into the digital world, we worked on a high-performance shopping experience:
-
Storytelling and Cross-selling with "Shop by Look": we transformed the editorial photoshoot into an active sales tool. Users don't just browse a catalog; they interact with stylistic inspiration, allowing them to assemble an entire outfit with a single click without ever leaving the image.
-
Mobile-First Interaction: knowing how much smartphone traffic impacts results, we minimized technical friction. The integration of an ultra-fast "Add to Cart" system allows users to finalize their interest at the exact moment it sparks.
-
Frictionless Conversion: we worked on the checkout to make it an invisible and immediate process. By eliminating all distractions and optimizing input fields, we created a direct path that takes the user from desire to order confirmation in just a few seconds.
Beyond borders: the international challenge
With this project, the circle is complete: the solidity that NeroGiardini built across the streets and squares of Italy now arrives in the international digital world. Thanks to a tailor-made architecture, we opened the brand to foreign markets, precisely configuring price lists, languages, and global shipping. Today, the website is a platform ready to scale across Europe and beyond, bringing Italian excellence everywhere.
The DROP "engine": invisible integrations, real performance
The real magic happens behind the scenes. The success of such a complex project depends on how fluidly the e-commerce platform communicates with the brand’s cutting-edge technical infrastructure. NeroGiardini is a benchmark for industrial innovation, thanks to its hyper-automated warehouses and latest-generation logistics, which represent the company's flagship asset.
DROP implemented a custom Middleware capable of acting as the nervous system of this infrastructure, seamlessly orchestrating:
-
High-Tech Synchronization: Real-time communication with the corporate ERP to manage massive data flows.
-
Smart Logistics: Flow optimization with automated warehouses, ensuring surgical precision in product availability and picking.
-
Global Efficiency: Intelligent carrier integration to turn internal technological power into fast, reliable delivery for the end customer.
The result?
In the first month since launch, the combination of opening foreign markets and a finally seamless UX led to an extraordinary result: daily orders more than doubled.
It is a clear signal: when a brand rooted in physical manufacturing chooses to evolve technologically, and user experience and technology work in perfect harmony, the numbers follow.
If you are also thinking about taking your e-commerce to the next level, we are ready to talk.
