DropByDrop - Episode 02: Midori

All Articles

Second episode of the DropByDrop column. This month we introduce you to one of the veterans whose voice you often only hear: Midori.
Key themes: Hawaii, English songs and a love of reading.

EPISODE 02

Name: Midori
Surname: Pasi
Nickname (the real one, don't cheat!): Mido - Mamma Mido - Splendore Asiatico (only by Alfredo)
Job title: Customer Care
Zodiac sign : Leo cusp Virgo, Pisces ascendant, moon in Libra. What does all this mean? I do not know!
Your mantra: Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Midori, what kind of Dropper do you feel?

I feel like a patient Dropper, or rather PASI-entity as my dad would say. Partly because of the work I do, partly because of my character, I consider myself a very patient person and this can only help me when dealing with end customers that I hear from on a daily basis and who can really put you in difficulty in just a few seconds!

But let's go back in time a bit: how did you get to Drop?

I arrived at Drop 13 years ago.
I moved to the Marche region in January of that year and found a job in a logistics company in Porto D'Ascoli, but it wasn't the place for me. So, I sent my CV around the region and after half an hour I sent it to Drop, Giordano replied asking me to make an appointment for an interview. On May 2, 2010 I officially started working here.

If you could have one superpower in the world of work, what would it be?

Since I already have the superpower of patience that Carlo would have liked, I would say that of "clairvoyance" as we always say at the CC!

Now let's take a big leap forward: how do you see Drop in 10 years? And you?

This is a question to which I cannot give a precise answer, although I would like to have one. Drop has changed a lot and very quickly over the years: we went from almost 10 people to 30 in just few months, not without the loss of important figures as well as the purchase of others. We have had ups and downs, both as a company and as the people who are part of it but I would say we have done very well so far and I hope that the situation can only improve.
What will I be like in 10 years? I would like to feel happy and satisfied with the choices I have made, both work and personal.

Last question. We are Drop | e-business & love!: tell us about something you love, something you love to do or something you're curious about.

I have many interests, the longest lasting is certainly reading which I have finally resumed consistently for a couple of years now. I love to inform myself and discover new things, whether it's reading for myself or for Ollie and Leo (my children). I wish I had more time and - let's face it - more money, to be able to go on some nice trips, which unfortunately I no longer do like I used to. I would also like to be able to sit on the sofa and watch some TV series but at the moment I can't!

A curiosity? Since is often asked especially during presentations, my name means "green" in Japanese. The reason for this name is quite simple: my mother is Japanese, while my father is from Milan. After this information, the next question generally asked is "How did they meet?" and the answer is "In Hawaii, where they got married and where I could have been born for a few months!". Their story is definitely more interesting than mine, I know!

One thing that perhaps not everyone knows is that before arriving in Porto Sant'Elpidio, I lived in Forlì where I worked for a music producer (google Michele Centonze) and for him I wrote some songs in English, unfortunately never released to the public.
